Defending champions make quick work of, yet another, opponent.

The Czech Republic has registered their 4th shutout in as many games, on just the start of the third day of the Men’s Softball European Championship. This time it was Croatia who fell to the Champs.

Holobradek and Maly shared the circle splitting their innings 3.0/2.0 respectively. The pair combined for 14Ks throwing just 71 pitches, 52 for strikes. Not a single walk was issued. With arms like that it makes it kind of hard to get a swing in.

The Croatian pen definitely made the Czech’s route on the paths smooth and easy. Belas and Jerbic combined, with Jerbic throwing just .1 of an inning and still managing to record one of the six walks given up. Not all the weight of this game rested on the arms of the team. With two errors accounting for three of the Czech runs, it is safe to say this loss was a team effort by the boys in Red.
