In their only game of the day, Croatia emerged victorious against a winless Lithuania. By a score of 15-0, Croatia made short work of their day shutting it down in just three innings.

Croatia came out the gates well rested and ready for action scoring eight runs in the 1st inning alone.

Kristijan Brajsovac had not one but two home runs in the first. As leadoff man, Brajsovac swung at the first pitch he saw for an inside-the-park home run. When Croatia batted around, he smashed a 3-run rocket deep to left. He wasn’t through launching rockets though. In the bottom of the 3rd Kristijan took another for yard going 3/3 with every hit on his day scoring at least 1 run.

Croatia starter Matija Balent had a superb outing as he struck out six batters over the course of three innings of work.

The Lithuanian bats were quiet once again but Dovydas Zakaras did manage to muster up a hit in the 3rd. Zakaras continues his strong tournament showing raising his batting average to .364 over six games.

Croatia’s next test comes against a strong team, France. Lithuania continues to hope for their first win when they meet up with the undefeated Czech Republic.
