The 2019 WBSC Men’s Softball World Championship will take place June 13-23, 2019 in Europe. The Czech Republic will host. The tournament will be played at both Svoboda Park, in Prague, and Hippos Arena, in Havlickuv Brod.
Gabriel Waage, President of the Czech Softball Association told the WBSC, "Fans from the Czech Republic are anxious to witness the most important softball event in the history of our country.”
The Czech Softball Association is making it easy for everyone to join in the fun! In addition to teams affiliated with Czech Softball, special rates are available for children, retirees and wheelchairs seating patrons.
In an effort to encourage youth interest in the sport, students from local schools will be given free entrance to the morning competitions.
The Association has also created an official mascot for the event, Mr. Home Run. He has already begun making appearances around the community letting folks know all about tickets, which are now on sale.
