Czech Hosts EU
The Men’s European Softball Championship begins today in the Czech Republic. 12 countries include: Israel, Croatia, Italy, Lithuania, Sweden, Denmark, Great Britain, Germany, Slovakia, The Netherlands, Belgium and the Czech Republic, will play the first round of competition through Wednesday. Playoffs take place on Thursday and Friday to determine placement. The quarter finals, along with Saturday's title matchups, will be broadcast live. About two hours away from European Championship action, Prague is hosting both women’s softball and men’s baseball teams from across the continent. On the baseball diamond for this year's Prague Baseball & Softball Week Belarus, Russia, NSW Blue Sox, International Stars, International Future Stars, Poland, Italy and The Czech Republic all have a horse in the race. Games begin on Tuesday at 1pm local time.
Over on the softball fields, action starts on Wednesday. Teams representing Catalonia, Serbia, Greece, Germany, Austria and the USA Athletes will take on both Poland and The Czech Republic’s U22 teams. Also participating from The Czech Republic will be the local club, Eagles Praha, along with the German and Czech Republic U19 teams.
